A Custom Foam Case for HeroQuest Figures
Masterfully Storing Miniatures: Presenting Custom Foam Case for HeroQuest Figures
I’m an avid player of HeroQuest, often taking on the role of Zargon, the Game Master. With a team of friends, we embark on various quests, battling goblins, orcs, and all manner of monsters.
One of the issues I’ve faced, however, is storing the miniatures in the original box. Between sessions, the pieces would become a jumbled mess, and finding the right ones in the heat of the game was always a struggle.
The requirement was simple: I needed a way to securely store the miniatures in such a manner that they fit within the confines of the original box. Equally important was the need for these miniatures to be easily retrievable and storable during the game.
And so, the journey began to find the ideal solution.
The Solution: Bedroll Foam
Enter Bedroll Foam - an affordable, lightweight, and flexible material that turned out to be just what I needed.
By cutting rectangular holes into the foam, I was able to create perfect ‘slots’ for each miniature or group of miniatures. This kept them safe, secure, and more importantly, organized.
Here’s where it gets even more interesting: I created a three-layer system. The taller miniatures were placed in the deeper bottom layer, while the shorter ones got their own ‘raised’ sections in the upper layers. This ensured that all miniatures, regardless of their size, were easy to see and retrieve.
This foam case has significantly improved my gaming sessions, making set-up and pack-up a breeze. It is indeed a masterful storage solution for any HeroQuest collector or enthusiast.
